(Conference button > Dial > Conference button.) ### RESOLUTION/STEPS: 1. While engaged in a call, press the Conference button ![Cisco_8900_ConferenceIcon.jpg](https://cdn.us.document360.io/4662144b-ab1f-4796-8b7b-e9f9c609894f/Images/Documentation/Cisco_8900_ConferenceIcon.jpg?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-04T22%3A55%3A46Z&se=2026-11-04T23%3A55%3A46Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=3nVS%2FSyPT3pGd4fxEnIc33e%2FFieJroNfp5do0aElYw8%3D) (which places the caller on hold and open a second line). 2. Dial the number of the person whom you want to conference into the call. (For a coworker you may either dial 0 and speak their name when prompted or dial their 4-digit extension. For someone outside of the organization, you would dial 8+1+[10 digit external number].) 3. Press the Conference button again to conference the two calls together.
