Cisco - Manually Configure Virtual Local Area Network

Phone Models

Cisco phone models 7911, 7942, 7962, 8961, and 7925.

Cisco 7911

1. Press the Settings key

2. Press 3 - Settings

3. Press 2 - Network

4. Press **# to unlock the phone.

5. Press 7 - Admin Vlan (Virtual Local Area network) (Telephony Vlan)

   • a) edit

   • b) enter new vlan id

   • c) validate

   • d )save

6. Press 10 - PC Vlan (PC Vlan)

   • a) edit

   • b) enter new vlan id

   • c) validate

   • d) save

Cisco 7942

1. Press the Settings key

2. Press 2 - Network

3. Press **# to unlock the phone.

4. Press 7 - Admin Vlan (Virtual Local Area network) (Telephony Vlan)

   • a) edit

   • b) enter new vlan id

   • c) validate

   • d )save

5. Press 10 - PC Vlan (PC Vlan)

   • a) edit

   • b) enter new vlan id

   • c) validate

   • d) save

Cisco 7962

1. Press the Settings key

2. Press 2 - Network

3. Press **# to unlock the phone.

4. Press 7 - Admin Vlan (Virtual Local Area network) (Telephony Vlan)

   • a) edit

   • b) enter new vlan id

   • c) validate

   • d )save

5. Press 10 - PC Vlan (PC Vlan)

   • a) edit

   • b) enter new vlan id

   • c) validate

   • d) save

Cisco 8961

1. Press the Settings key

2. Press **# to unlock the phone.

3. Press 4 - Administrator Settings

4. Press 1 - Network Setup

5. Press 1 - Ethernet Setup

6. Press 5 - Admin Vlan (Virtual Local Area network) (Telephony Vlan)

   • a) enter new vlan id

   • b) apply

7. Press 6 - PC Vlan (PC Vlan)

   • a) enter new vlan id

   • b) apply

Cisco 7925

No manual  of Vlans are available.
