Overview
This document describes how to use the CallCabinet for Microsoft Teams Installer to Remove a CallCabinet Recording for Microsoft Teams Service.
Use Cases:
Re-Install required where Repair Installation does not suffice
End of POC/Trial
Termination of Service
Important:
This action will remove the customer in its entirety. The Primary as well as Redundancy services with their resources will be removed.
Prerequisites
CallCabinet Installation Tool Script (CallCabinetInstallerTool.ps1)
Please make sure that only a person with full administrator access to your organization’s Azure Tenant and Active Directory runs this tool.
The person running this tool should also have administrator access for Microsoft Teams as Microsoft teams will require configuring by the bot.
The Installer had to be executed with the New Installation action.
Initialization
When the script is executed, it will first initialize and load your Customer Configuration. If a customer configuration does not exist, you will not be able to action a Remove Installation.
Step 1 – Action Selection
Click on the Remove Installation to start removing a installation using the automation tool.
Step 2 – Validation of required modules
For security reasons, the tool will validate and install (if missing) any of the following required PowerShell modules on your organization’s environment where the installer is executed. These modules enable CallCabinet to automate the CallCabinet for Microsoft Teams Installer’s removal process.
These modules are:
Nuget Provider
Az.Accounts
AzureAd
Microsoft Teams
Step 3 – Remove Microsoft Teams Recording Services
Select a Removal Reason and provide an additional reason if Other is selected and click the “Remove” button to start the removal process.
You will be requested to complete 3 different logins. These are:
Azure Accounts
Microsoft Teams
Azure AD
The tool will then automatically remove the following resources from your Azure Tenant and Microsoft Teams 365 environment where applicable:
Recording Policy Group Assignment
Azure AD Group (CallCabinet Recording Group)
Compliance Recording Application
Compliance Recording Policy
Application Instance
Azure AD Application (Own Tenant configuration only)
Azure Resource Group and Related bot services (Own Tenant configuration only)

Step 4 – Deactivation Notifications
Upon successful completion of the required steps as explained above, the installer will automatically create a CallCabinet Support Ticket for deactivation of the recording functionality. CallCabinet will then deactivate your organization’s recording functionality and confirm back to your organization’s administrator by replying to the same CallCabinet Support Ticket.
