This article is to show how to assign Line Keys to Teams Phones. Specifically in this article a Yealink MP56 Teams Phone was used.
Prerequisites
The phone’s firmware must be updated to the latest firmware.
Phones 1449/1.0.94.2025084203 or later
Sidecars 1449/1.0.94.2025165302 or later
Set up the delegates for the users. For example, if John Smith is going to be able to make and receive calls for multiple people, then the people who he can accept calls for will need to add him as a delegate as well as he adding them as a delegate. Once the delegates are set up then the users will need to change their settings to allow calls to ring the delegates.
You can do this with the Teams Desktop Client as shown in the screenshot below.

You can also do this from the Yealink Phone as shown in the screenshots below.

Touch Settings

Touch Manage delegates

Touch Add a delegate

Search for your delegate and touch the delegate's name

Toggle the permissions and touch the check mark

Steps to assign line keys
Assign the Line Keys. At the main screen menu, touch “More” then touch “Line Keys” to assign the delegate(s)

Touch the Assign line key you want to assign

Touch which option you want to assign to the line key (in this example, touch “Shared line”
Click the + button next to the Shared Line you want to add.




Click the 3 dots at the top of the Teams Desktop App

Under the Calls Settings, set calls to Also ring delegates

Here is an example of incoming calls on the Yealink for a delegate and then multiple calls coming in at the same time for more than one delegate.

This is an example of two incoming calls at the same time for more than one delegate.
